Walking the Warrior PATHH: Turning Struggle into Strength

It’s hard to describe the deep healing, health, and hope I experienced two weeks ago at Summers Mill in Belton, TX. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend Warrior PATHH by Boulder Crest Foundation — sponsored by Avalon Action Alliance.

PATHH stands for Progressive & Alternative Training Helping Heroes. It’s a seven-day immersive experience as part of a 90-day program for Veterans and First responders. PATHH is focused primarily on mental wellness using a human-centered, holistic, and non-clinical approach. This is not a “catch-and-release” program where you attend a retreat at a cool location and have a good time with strangers before returning to your ‘normal life.’ This total immersion experience is designed to incrementally change how you feel, think, act, and form meaningful relationships with others.

What is Post Traumatic Growth?

Warrior PATHH uses the research and evidence-based best practices of Post-Traumatic Growth or #PTG.

PTG theory explains why and how humans can transform and get better following trauma or traumatic experiences.
